Well as you guys are probably sick of hearing this, but I am gonna be changing my suspension design again let me bring some people up to date:
1st keep everything the same, add shackle reversal and 3/4 eliptic springs to rear, adds about 2" of lift over what I have, run 35" boggers
Changed because, not at all streetable. rear eliptics would open up when turning.
2nd SOA on my current springs and run 38" swampers
Changed because, this would be about 10" of lift, a little more lift than I would like also wheel base would be too short for the amount of lift.
3rd, 1" body lift, swap out my flexy 4" skyjacker springs (that have saged to about 2.5") for a set of 4" stiff pro-comp springs (Chris knows how stiff they are) a little more fender cutting, revolver shackles and 36" Irok tires
Changed because, I was going to have to limit my up travel, and hope that the revolver shackles would compensate in my down ward travel. but the pro-comp springs have very little flex at all, stock springs would RTI better than these stiffy's would.
4th (and hopefully final) install the new Fabtech YJ8 8" lift. extends your wheel base by 2 inches, is a 4 link coil over set up in front with a SOA in rear with anti-axle wrap bar, run 37" Iroks.
I tried to call fabtech but apparently they are not on the east coast and don't answer the phone at 8:00 am our time.... I am gonna guess that this kit is going to be in the $1500-$2000, but i think I will be able to make up some of that selling all the lift springs and parts I have accumulated with all the other set up I wanted to run.
It is claimed that this kit is complete bolt on, but since I have D44's all around, I think I will be doing a little welding.
So what do you think?
