Hey fellow new england jeeper(z), i bought my lift kit back in november, and its finally getting nice enough out to attempt to install it. In the boston area ( give or take 40 miles) It is a 3.5" BDS lift , double military wrapped springs, disco's, and new shackles. I am about 75% sure i will have a garage this weekend with the proper tools, and just making this post to do a roll call of people who can help on saturday and sunday if we need it. Any help would be greatly appreciated even if it is just for a couple hours, and I promise i will return the favor when the time comes. Or, if any of you have a garage that i could definitely use this weekend, that would be awesome too. You can all reply here, email me (simplydc@aol.com) or just give me a call. All input appreciated, Thanks in Advance- Dave Conroy (518-461-5998) www.cardomain.com/id/bostonjeep

I have to work......... unless I quit. If you have all the necessary tools, some extra hands, and prep the Jeep the day before you should.......SHOULD be able to get it done in about 8 hours. the night before hit the jeep with WD40 on every bolt that is coming off. Its also polite to clean the undercarriage really well, keeps dirt and grime off the mechanics. Have fun. Take pics and good luck.

So it turns out that the garage i was planning on will be unavailable this weekend.
So if anyone out there can help me finally get this lift on after 6 months , they'd be my hero.
thanks again -IOWA

Obviously, I will be helping out.
My plan is to get one team to work on the front and one team to work on the rear.
We could do it at my house, problem is my driveway is way too steap to have a vehicle supported on jackstands. if no one comes foward, we can try to do it here though. I will need to run over to my parents house and see if I can get my compressor back!
Any one that can help will make this go a lot quicker. hands are hands.
Thursday and Friday, hit all the spring bolts, T-case bolts, trac bar bolts, sway bar bolts etc.. with liberal amounts of PB blaster (liberal like the whole can hehe)

If you need a flat driveway, i got one (and it's big you've seen it). You are MORE then welcome to come here. As for tools and stuff, i'm not really sure what you need...we don't got much, but ya know...
Joe and I will both be here, and I can turn a wrench, and I got muscles, so, I'd be of some help..only thing is it might be chilly...
Well, the doors open, you don't have to come in, but if your stuck it's open.
Laura
ps, not to mention we could test it out after!! And ya can see the CJ!

I figured a way to do it in my driveway, and Saturday's weather is going to be great! It is up to Dave, we were going to do it at my house. I guess I can bring all my tools down. But thats a lot of tools, Do you have a compressor for the plasma cutter and air tools?
If any one wants directions to mi Casa, I will post them later, anyone is welcome to come by. Send you Beer order to simplydc@aol.com hehehe JK

I would love to be there, but I am workin, then headin up to sunday river that evening for the weekend...
P.S. Use PB blaster like john said, don't use WD-40, it is not a lubricant! it is a water displacement agent (hence the "WD") You need to get PB blaster, and lots of it, that stuff works daballz!

Just about all my tools reside in the back of my heep all the time, I'll bring my sawzall. I'm sure we will find a reason to use it, if not I'll make a reason. Seriously though, pending on work I'll lend a hand. Never worked on a YJ though, so the old azz leaf springs are new to me Later, J
