well my next project is to swap in a np231 for my np249 tcase. while it is out of the jeep i mine as well put these in. i am looking for a SYE and a new CV shaft. what is a good sye? ive seen AA, Tera, JB and RE ones for all around $200ish, is there much difference in them?
as for the driveshaft are there any local places that would be able to build a shaft, or would it be cheaper to get a Tom Woods, Dennys, or Reel shaft online? let me know if you see any combo deals or somewhere with a good price on either or both. any help would be great. thanks alot.

Mitchell driveline in shrewsbury can buid a custom driveshaft. not sure about price but they do grea t work.

im pretty sure Redrock4x4.com is still doin a combo deal on AA sye and a TW shaft.

i also found the "hack and tap" kit by Rubicon Express Jerry was talking about getting. is there a huge difference between that and a SYE, i know the sye replaces the whole tailshaft assembly and the other one is just basicaly a flange.
does anyone want to help who has experience, the t-case wont be in the jeep so it would be alot easier. i'll buy you lunch or whatever.

ok i think this is what i am going to go with, looks like the real deal to me. this is the exact same setup as mine, even with the 8.8, which is at the same pinion angle as mine, giving me some vibes. jeepsunlimited.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=616642anyone have any idea what a shaft like this would cost locally? im going to call around and check.

Im not a huge fan of the hack and tap. I would feel better knowing that the basis of my Jeep is done right. No cuttin and bolting on the driveshaft area.

yeah me to, thats why i have decided on the full SYE, most likley the Advance Adapters, i read somewhere for the JB conv. one you have to have the bearing press fit in. anyone willing to help in the next month on putting this in, seeing i dont have any experience taking apart a tcase and dont want to F it up, and wont be in the jeep also.
