im going to put two momitary buttons inline with my control box and mouth them near the shifter..and some kind of a small solinoid for a high idle..you only need 1500rpm for max presser.. im running a hydro off my p/s pump..i dunno about alectrics winches..ive never seen one do a long hevy pull..

I like the idea of in cab momentaries, but for RPM, I just crank up my hand throttle.

I don't have a hand throttle, and I would like to get one for winching, etc. but I came across that system that would involve less clutter in my jeep(no hand throttle or extra buttons) it does the same thing as a hand throttle, but with an electronic one (not sure if this one does it), you can retard the engine, and use it for hill decent assistance (more for automatics) it will limit your RPMs, and can actually be set below idle, for extreme decents.
so again, has anyone used this unit before? I was going to get an electronic hand throttle, but would like to not have extra clutter, I have enough!

stu has a write up about it on his site i believe. its a good idea but...what happens when you need to be winched and turning at the same time...makes it alittle hard to steer and push a button on the steering wheel....no thanx....id rather just use the controler for the winch and have a hand throttle on my shifter.

Years of playing Xbox and Playstation have trained me for that moment. i dont think it would be that hard to turn a steering wheel and push a button. and for $150 its a pretty cool mod. IMO

For my throttle, i got a bike shifter, a brake cable, an end peice (thing at the end of the brake liine, i dunno what its called, and a wire connector. Put the line thru the firewall and used washers in the existing hole in the throttle bracket under the hood. I'll post some pics and a writeup later, but you can see the finished product on my cardomain site.
