what do you think about F/R line lock on a jeep. tiered of an e-brake that seems to always be out of adjustment? how about winching and not having to be in side on the brake..you can safly watch the cable and stop if it gets over layed.
or for yo guys that like buttons its an excuse for two more..

It would definately be a help when wheeling like that. BUT.... it doesnt pass as an ebrake when your doing safety inspection. so you have to still keep that working at least one day a year. So in my opinion i would rather spend a little more money and a little less agrivation replacing your stock ebrake components.and keeping that working all the time instead of cutting and rerouting the brake lines to the switch(wherever you plan on mounting it) also it seems like i have baught every flaring tool out there and no matter how much i spend the brake lines almost never seal when they have been cut and flared with a hand tool. unless i RTV the heck out of them and tighten them untill they scream.

rtv brake lines=\ brake fluid eats pants what do you think it will do to RTV. im not going to lose the hand brake..i know i need if. the main reson for this is for the winch. and when your parked on a steep hill..

It`s a great Idea for winching but not for parking.They will bleed down after a while and release.Use a Mico-loc that locks all 4 wheels.They are intended for use on wreckers to lock all 4 during recovery opps but wolud be great on a jeep.I had one in my old K3500 and it worked great .It actually did get me an inspection sticker though I don`t think it really should have cuz year E brake is supposed to work independent of your hydraulic brakes.How long it will hold depends on the condition of your brake system and the conditionof the seals in the lock itself.I`ve seen some that would only hold for a few minutes, mine would hold for days.

Brian (guy with a 6 inch FT Rubi that moved) had Hurt's "Roll Control" I never saw him use it, but its cheap and i was thinking about it. Just for the front though.

I was just gonna post that BOB, Brian did have it, He used it every now and then, But I did not like his set up for one reason.. He had it on the rear, I would put it on the front and my reason is this.. If you have the ability to unlock the front and maintain 2lo in the rear, use the line lock to lock up the front and use the front tires as a pivot point. I know most all of us don't have a atlas II or twin stick D300 (BOB does in the CJ but..) most of us can't unlock just the rear and use the rear tires as pivot points while the front pull the jeep around tight courners.
so... other than winching which I would prefer not to reply on either the front or the rear but rather both so unless you install two, and lock all four... and have the ability to unlock a axle from the other in lo (which I don't think TJ's can do??) not worth it.
IMHO
But... If you have a 2wd car/truck, install on the passive axle and smoke that motha!

jeeps are made in amarica right...THEN WHY DO THEY HAVE METRIC BRAKE LINE!!! its gona wait till the weekend now..errr who wants to go in on a parts store..

it took some costem made lines but its in and works mint. front and rear are on the same switch. im not to conserned about front lock to make a tight turn..ill post pics and a field test later
