Correct me if I am wrong.
You do NOT need to index the pinion yoke on the reverse cut D30's found in YJ cause they have no crush sleeves??
One thing I have never done is pulled apart a D30, so I am a little lost?
Also has anyone converted the rear yoke from straps to u-bolts. Is there a spicer part number that will bolt right up and what size drill do I need to bore out the holes in the yoke?

Johnny,the part # for those U bolts is 2-94-58x.Drill the yolk holes out to 5/16.Im gonna do this on my YJ.

I am embarassed to say that I have never ripped apart a D30. are there crush sleeves in there?

make sure you bleed the bumper fluid lines when you put the D30 back together, or else you will flood your yoke!
I flooded my yoke once, it took 3 pints of jack daniels, and some KY jelly to fix the problem! but then, my schematical relays were thrown for a loop! I should have just used simple green, but i did not have any, and you know how lazy i get when my yoke is flooded!
John, I wanna learn how to do this stuff, let me know next time you are taking somethin apart, etc! you know I am mechanically inclined, I just need the experience!

That darn bumper fluid always gets the better of me! the worse is when the blinker flux compasitor is low on anti-sieze gel, man I hate when that happens too!
