I just order Warn diff covers for my 04 Rubicon. I am not mechanically inclined. How difficult are they to install?

All you have to do is take off all the bolts holding them on, its like 10 or 12 or something. The cover will come off, and splash gear oil everywhere. Then scrape the gasket off, apply a new one and bolt the new cover on. I believe there was another thread in the tech section about what gasket sealant to use. If you can turn a wrench, you can do it.

with the warns you don't have to remove all the bolts just the bottom ones. and no gear oil should leak out. should take about 10 minutes per axle for you to install.

If you haven't changed your diff fluid in a while you should. I mean you are down there anyway. www.stu-offroad.com/index.shtmlGo to this site, click "Misc" then "common maintenance info" then drag down to the bottom and click "Changing Differential Fluid". That's where i learned how to do mine. This has to be one of the greatest Jeep sites i've seen. Anytime i have some problems i go there first. Taught me most of what i know. Also learning how to do this saves you hundreds, literally. The local shops around here (gloucester) charge close to 100 per axle. Cost me about 20 bucks for both. Josh
