Hydraulic clutch on my 89 YJ engages/disengages right at the floor pan. Any way to adjust this clutch? Tis a bit of a problem when I'm plowing & shifting alot. TY for any replies... ;D

Have you tried bleeding the clutch system? I had air the system right after getting the clutch replaced...had to re-bleed the thing several times until the pedal was back where it used to be.
Does it still shift ok?

It shifts ok. When Jeep is cold i double clutch it to get into second. Once jeep is warm shifts ok. I'll try & bleed it when weather warms abit.....snowing right now hehe

A number of things... The always dreaded syncros you didn't mention the motor, so I am not sure what POS tranny you have but regardless it is a puegot-how-ever-it-is-spelled.
also you can try to Bleed the air out of the Hydrolic Clutch assembally but that will have nothing to due with the pedal to the floor... only the inability to get it in gear.
The to the floor thing means you need a new clutch, and while your in there, conver to a external slave!

It's got a newly rebuilt 4.2 liter motor..5spd tranny. Dont know age of tranny or clutch but can find out. If i need new clutch any recomendations?....whats an external slave?...I'm pretty mechanical but u got me there

Ya you have the puegot-POS-tranny. the worse thing jeeo ever used. if you want another one, I have one you can have for free! just pull it out of the jeep!
as for the clutch... I have one question, how often to you drag race your jeep? Not often would most likely be the response you might say so... go with the inexpensive stock clutch, save some cash for some thing else like tires or flowers for the lady friend!
the older jeeps used a internal slave cylinder, in I think 93 they changed to a external slave cylinder, should there be a problem with the slave, it is easier to replace, instead of dropping the t-case, tranny, etc....

Also since your plowing, I am gonna assume your feathering the crap out of the clutch... just stick with stock, I think autozone sell the clutch and install kit for $110 or something.

Thx for the offer for a new Tranny. As for drag racing & feathering clutch while plowing its a no. LMAO...tis a jeep bro...i figure if I dump the clutch with the 33's its got i'm gonna leave tranny parts & rearend pieces all over the place. Plow is a brand new addition to jeep. Plow in low range very easily without riding clutch. Jeeps got 200k on chasis 1k on motor...goto find out if co-worker ever did a clutch & how long ago......BTW I do burnouts in my RX-8...anyone looking for rear tires from an RX-8 let me know..hehe 8k miles on them & tread looks fantastic from the side ....wifes gonna kill me this spring when i take winter tires off & have to replace 2 summer tires before i mount them up...

Smoke up the snow tires and put them on the front, now you have a matching set! tell the wife that they are super Hi-performance tires that only get about 8K miles! she just might believe you!
