I have an automatic 2005 Rubicon. I want to remove the center console so I can mount the small box for my Cobra 75 CB under it.
Are there any secrets to the removal? I haven't looked closely at it but plan on removing it tomorrow if time allows.
Thanks for any tips.
Dave

there are a few screws on the side of the console box, down by the floor, they may be some inside of the box, at the bottom, and mine had some in the cupholders, youll most likely have to do something about the shifter as well...but i have a manual, so cant help you there! sorry!

I just took mine off yesterday to install mag flashligt brackets on the pass side. There was one bolt under the rubber insert of the cup holders, and another one inside the console next to the shifter. To get to this one you need to pop the cover off that surrounds the shifter and from there it's easy to get at the last bolt. Pretty easy to do.

I've taken mine off a couple times just to see what's in there and it's not that hard at all. The think that threw me for a loop were there were two screws under the back cup-holder, which needs to be removed. Once i realized where those screws were, it was really easy to take out and just see what's there.
One of these days i'm going to do something for fun and i'll mess the whole thing up. I guess you just have to live and learn?@?@!
