Well I finally got it, I went with Dsgray today and got a 97 explorer 8.8 with 4.10 in it. I will be picking it up tomorrow. I already bought the spring perches for it today also. I'm starting to get excited knowing that my 33s will be here next week and now I have a new axel that I shouldn't have to worry about breaking. I think I am going to get a aussie for it or some other type of cheap locker. Now for my questions, ok I know I need e brake cables but that I am not worrying about right now because my Jeeps ebrake doesn't stay down anymore, even after the recall. But what else do I need to get? The yoke flange? and ? Also anybody know how to weld and want to put the new brackets on for me for cheap or better yet free ;D?

yes yoke flange.. also if it is stock 4.11's most likely also has a Limited slip.

Seems like you may need a new driveshaft as well. Maybe someone who has done it can comment on the differance in length that the pinion on a D35 and an 8.8 stick out from the axle.

all you need is the new yoke flang..the drive shaft guy down the street from me has them in stock..dont ask my how much it was..i needed one so i bought it. jest remember when you messer for the spring perches that to diff is offset. i found the cent line on the axle and did my messering from there..
and the brake cables..it looks like rub cables will fit..ill let you know when i get around to buying them

Thanks guys I think I will be ordering the flange from MORE and I will be doing the install somewhere in New england because my father doesn't know about this yet and I would rather not tell him, he hates me putting money in it. Another question is do I need anything for the powerbooster becuase I'm switching to disc in the back, will there be enough pressure in the lines to handle front and rear discs? i herd from someone that you need a new master with a puporining vale...but i running the stock one and my brakes work fine.
