When swerving back and forth as if slaloming between cones i get a clunk in the front end but only when swerving left.......swerving was for testing only . Any ideas as to where/ why i get the clunk ? Stop swerving left ;D

Start by checking both ends of the track bar, then check bushings on all control arms.

I think you need to remove the entire frt end and replace it with a D60.

haha, what about bar pins on your shocks, you shock bushings come out of their home???

whelp by the looks of the sig he's got a 2 inch body lift so his suspension is probably stock.

check your bumper fluid.. if thats fines, your blinker gaskets might be a little low.

whelp by the looks of the sig he's got a 2 inch body lift so his suspension is probably stock. thats even more reason to believe something is broken!!! nice touch john haha

I had a similar issue with my tj last week and found that the tie rod end on the trac bar was trashed. I'm too lazy to read if anyone else said that. It was with a rustys adj trac bar and i assume you have a stock one but the tie rod ends are the same and mine only made the nose swerving and truning hard left so its worth a shot....vince

I think i figured it out. where the stabilizer bar and stabilizar bar link meet is disconnected. the ball popped out of the socket. is that common? Yes my suspention is stock, i feel shame.

Replaced sway bar linkage today, Heated and beat for about a hour, called Jeepgod/ dog he reassured me that the threaded rod/ ball combo thing that attaches to the bar was not welded (+ Thank You) . Ended up removing sway bar, placing on a block and beating it out w/ 3lb hammer. That worked pissa good. Future advice. skip the heat N beat method. go straight to sway bar removal. Trav OUT

i just replaced my stock sway bar links with discos with the help of mike (chrometj) and we used a tie rod end puller or a pitman arm puller to pop the links out of the swaybay. I can't remember which we used and i realize it is too late now but for future reference.....vince
