Ujoint is toast but all 4 ears look good. I got the 36mm nut off and the 3 hub bolts off but I can't seem to get the hub and axle out. What's the trick? or do I need a puller?

you could also take the long route and just bang it all around with a hammer, just try to work it out. splitting hubs sucks, been there, done that. the block method works too though.

Its out! ;D Flipped the rotor around backwards and put three lugnuts on about 5 turns only and used the rotor as a slide hammer!

Thanks for the quick replies, but i'm still :censored: One of the ears on the inner shaft is stretched and theres a crack in the end. what is the best way to keep this driveable until I get new shafts?

How bad is it stretched? if you can get a cap in it then tac weld the cap to the ear. Alot of guys do that so the caps dont pop out and destroy the axle.

I drove around for about a week with one that was bad. It just sounded bad. I am not sure what could happen if it would brake. It is not like the wheel is going to fall off.
I suggest an axel puller, you can rent them for free at Auto-Zone and it will take about 1hr for the hole job maybe 1: 20. Your jeep is a lot newer than mine so the rust want be that bad.

I drove home from paragon with a toasted Ujoint, got home and not a single needle bearing was in there.
I would obviously order a new stub shaft, if you have the resources, lots of heat and a hammer should be able to bring it back to close to normal size and shape, but this should be temporary. also don't engage 4wd.
Can you re-install the hubs on the Rubi D44 with out the axle and drive on it?

Pulled the inner shaft and stuffed the tube and put the outer back in to support the hub. There was still grease in the cross, but all 4 caps and bearings were completely dry. No bearings in one side and hlaf of the bearings in the otherside were crushed. Outer shaft looks in good shape but the enner is cracked clear through at the end of the ear. New set of Alloys with axle seals on its way from Mike at 4X4Rockshop.com. Great Price and great service. Mike even hooked me up with an extra $50 off upgrading shipping to priority overnight so I can fix this tomorrow. Now I just need to explain to the wife how a $20 u-joint turned into $$$$$ axles and seals
