Sorry to have asked probably the most common question. But also a fun one to answer to a noob. I have researched what all of you have said.I sit at this damn pc all day so surfin the net for info is no prob. Cost is not the issue by far If im altering my new jeep it will be done right. But the biggest thing I want is a fairly maintained ride on the road. But articulating and agility in the woods is huge. To answer the question about wheeling I cant stop After this weekend ive been every night. There are too many nooks in new england and I want to follow them all.. hehe.. I will check out the ariock in a moment I figured spending about 1000-1500 hopefully no more than that hell I still need a winch and a highjack and the list goes on..... If piecing it together is a good option then Im really gonna need help and ill be a bit lost for a while. But I see that airock and skyjacker though differ in price have both been said a lot..

Matt P (bigblue), you're such a joker. ;D KCViking, if you want to run 33's on your new Jeep, you should get a total of around 4" of lift. Heck, I know of a certain TJ running a 4" suspension lift and a 1" bodylift....clears 35's with some light rubbing. Have you checked out www.Jeepforum.com yet? There is a large TJ-only section there where people post pictures of their setups. Also, I have NO idea why a Jeep dealer would void the entire warranty on your Jeep if you installed a 1" bodylift. They may void parts of the warranty, but not the entire thing.

they can only void the warranty on that which you are altering or somethign directly related. so besides you trying to warrenty your body falling off the frame you will ok with the max of a 1"bl.

Seperating the body from the frame in essance alters the body all together. the jeep dealership in my area will not honor a warranty on a jeep with a Body lift, but... they will install a suspension lift for ya!
I still say go with the Budget Boost and let your experience grow, then let the jeep grow.
Instead of dropping $2000 into a lift and tires, how about all the other equipment you should have like a hi-lift, tow strap, tree saver, winch or come-along, front and rear tow points (if not there), CB, Shovel, axe, some armor and skid plates, perhaps a set of used aggressive tires for off roading (31's will fit factory with minimal rubbing) A couple of motor mods like air filter or a snorkel, cat back exhaust.
If you can't tell, I am a little against lifting a jeep if you need more experience in all the other aspects of wheeling like tire placement/spotting, trail repair, safe recovery, etc...
