I live in Quincy MA right now and just bought myself ARBs and 4.88s. I was going to put them in myself but decided to splurge just a little more and have someone do it for me. Any recommendations for a place around me that would be willing to do it?

I'd recommend Bay State Off-Road formally Ocean State Off Road. I guy named Bob Siwinski is the owner and recently moved closer to your way from Westerly RI. I think hes some what close to Cape Cod, he told me the name of the town but I forget. Bob's a real good guy and he knows his chit. I believe his web site is down but his phone number is 401-595-4294. Last time I checked he does the locker and gear installs for $500 an axle, and he does them very well. I believe a few members may have had their gears done by him actually.
hope this helps -AR

500 an axle is a little pricey for gear installs, i would look around for someone to do it 300-350 an axle, there are many drivetrain shops around, if you look back through the tech pages on this board it has been discussed numerous times
but hey if you go tthe cash, i hear bob is pretty decent

Bob (now Bay State Off-Road) usually charges 8 hours an axle for gears and a lunchbox or a Detroit-type locker. (Currently that's $400.) Because of it's added complexity, he charges and additional hour or two for an ARB or OX. He's in Marion, MA, about 45 minutes south of Quincy.

I live down in PA now. Where can I get them done for $400? I've heard of Mitchel's Drivetrain in MA but don't have any firsthand experience with them.
