I just got a MOPAR fog light switch (the one in the picture twice) and my stupid question to is, how the hell do you install them?? I got it for my fog lights but I can't figure out the wiring in the back. I know there is one that hooks up to the relay, one that's ground, one for power and one that taps into your lights so it lights up when you lights are one, but I can't figure out which one is which. Now I tried copying the ones that are in my jeep and from L to R it goes (ground, power, relay, lights) but that doesn't seem to work. Everytime I try to turn them on I go from 12 amps to 4 amps and it just doesn't work right. The glowing effect works when the lights are off instead of on and I just can't get a signal to the relay. Anyway, I must have tried 20 different configurations trying to figure out which one is for which plug but I came up with nothing. Also, I thought that I might not be getting a clean ground, so I changed that a couple times and it didn't help. I just have no clue. Ok, so they are numbered on the back 1-2-3-4 and I'm lost. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I wish it came with instructions!! Thanks for the help if you can give me any,

Here's the wiring diagram I used for mine. It's for a york but just use the 12+ outlet to your relay.

did you get the pigtail for the switch? or just the swith?? cause if you give me the colors i can tell you exactly which wire does what.....o yeah and nice pic (theif)

Actually, I didn't get the pigtail, but that's exactly how I had it set up. I'm starting to think that there is something wrong with the switch or maybe my jeep?

I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I wish it came with instructions!! they're not so much instructions as they are the manufacturers opinion of what you should do. just kidding, i'm no help, but i have faith you'll figure it out. do you have a picture of the back? that might help. i've done some wiring in my day, nowhere near the light show you have on your jeep, but then who does.

EUREKA!!!!
It was a bad power source. The power I tapped into wasn't strong enough and of course it was the last thing that I tried to test!!
Anyway, I got it working and thanks again for all your guys help!

where did you tap into that wasn't giving enough power? where are you getting power from now?

I originally just tapped into the switch right to the left of it (defroster I think), but now I'm running power from a source that I ran for something else. Basically I took your advice from a while back and ran a wire down through the dash to the shifter so I always have a live line there for power in a case just like this.
It actually ended up paying off.
Now on a side note, where did you get your ARB/locker switch? I really like them.

um....tooch think about that. they came with the lockers. but since im still in a nice mood. check out this site... www.4x4mods.com/ then go to online store and then switchs. im thinking about getting them for the winch, and my other switchs i have for other lights.
