Found out what my most recent cluncking noise is. It's the bolt that hold my rear sway bar to the frame rail. It needs to be tightened but it won't budge either way. I plan on soaking it with a penetrating solution but doubt that it will be enough. Using my socket wrench and all the might I have.. I feel like the bolt is going to break before it starts turning. Any ideas? (Heat is out of the question due to the rubber bushing against it) & I was going to use a impact wrench but as far as I can tell it uses up to 75lbs of torque and I am using atleast that much pressue with the socket myself with no luck

Sway-bars are over-rated anyway.

Seriously, soak the thing in PB Blaster (best stuff out there!) every few hours or so.
Then, crawl under there and try TIGHTENING the bolt just 1 turn. If you can, try to remove it, clean the threads up, and try putting it back in.
What size ratchet are you using? I find most of my bolts need my 1/2" drive ratchet to crack loose.

Soak it in ez-bolt or whatever..some sort of penetrating oil...a nice impact wrench WILL work. If you cant get it off with a breaker bar, swing by a garage and give the guy like 5 bucks to do it at lunch, hey I'd do it if someone stopped by, too bad im at school...

an impact gun will work. still soak it with PB blaster...
an impact gun works differently than a ratchet. it hits it multiple times a second, not a steady force, that is why they work so good! also, i agree that you should first tighten it slightly, but one full turn is way too much! tigten it with an impact gun, until it moves slightly, then back it out.

make sure it is not welded lol cut the rusted thing off with a cut off wheel stop playing with it my rule more than 10 min working at it there is a problem with the bolt use a new grade 8 bolt for 3 bucks good luck

Shawn, I will be working on my Heep this saturday, swing by I will let you use my cut-off wheel that stubbon bolt won't stand a chance, then get a new one.. It might be seized, or cross threaded and just tightening it won't really help!

Breaker bar + PB blaster = SNAP! lol I ripped the bolt head clean off...hahaha I just got the new bolt and just have to work on getting the old nut out. Hopefully it will be done tonight otherwise I may be swinging by your house Johnny
