Beer or Pizza on me, I'm in Boston and I have an 87 YJ and I now have a MC2100 ready to drop in. I could use some direction if anyone has experience with this.
I want to get this done so I can fix the floor board and have it ready for the snow.

It is a Motorcraft carb, called MC2100. It is what people use when they swap carbs. I hope that help you understand what the HELL it is. WOW.

Be nice to blackwhyjay, most people today don't know much about carburators. Bob

I put the carb on, that was pretty easy the hard part is trying to find out how the choke gets hooked up and what vaccum lines stay and what gets tossed.
If no one here is experienced with this maybe someone can direct me to a local shop that knows carbs and jeeps.

Try a post on neow.net. Lots of info in the tech section. I think Axle and Jeepdog are the only guys here without EFI.

It didn't have the choke on it, the guy was going to do the manual choke thing. There are only like 4 or 5 vaccum lines going to it. I will post some pics.

Ok, here's the deal. I bought a second Carb, a Webber and had my boy take a look at both the Motorcraft and the Webber and he decided he would see what he could do with the Webber. About 2 hours later the Webber was on and the Jeep came to life. It runs so sweet now that I can't believe it. I still have the Motorcraft and I have another Motorcraft in parts that I won on ebay coming also. My other friend just got a YJ that needs a carb and he wants to buy from the guy on ebay because he has good instructions. When he does that I will decide to keep this Motorcraft 2100 as a backup or just sell it.
P.S. Cheech, I like your YJ and I want to get some new bumpers and a winch myself in the next month or two.
