id just fix yours...who knows if the used shaft wasn't removed for the same reason. im probably gonna spend tonight after class disassembling mine and heading over to napa tomorrow morning to get the new ball centering kit...im still debating whether to replace the u-joints since mine are still good.

brookline machine fixes those, they did my tom woods for me, and it was relatively cheap, and there are a few of them in ma.

so its apart. i think i'm gonna get the used one depending on the condition its in. the part of the yoke that holds the centering ball is all kinds of chewed up. the spring is GONE!
all the greasable ujoints are in great shape so i'll probably pop those out and save em or swap em into the other shaft
i'll probably keep the shaft around for spare parts. the YOKEs are in good shape.

well when i was removing the u-joints i messed up the the sleeve that attachs to the driveshaft and goes over the ball centering kit. so im thinking of either buying a TW shaft or bringing my shaft a parts to someplace and having them fixed for me.
