anyone got any tricks for getting the gay wheel lock off after you loose the special magic key? Hammer a socket over it. Once you get it off your gonna have to smash the lug nut out of it.

i'm pretty sure you can get the lock key thing at auto-zone. unless you have some real nice rims the use a custom key.

matco sells a wheel lock set, to remove any wheel lock

autozone sells a set of two sockets for removing stripped lug nuts and in your case keyless locking ones.

I used a grinder to cut a slot just to the top of the wheel stud, then split it with a chisel.Easy! Bob

not sure but the last car i hammered a socket on was a 3/4 socket. dont plan on getting it back tho. hammer it on there and pop it off with a impact at like 100-110 psi. should run right out

Not many impacts are designed to operate over 90psi.

tighten both lug nuts crazy tight on either side of the one you want to get off then use vice grips

I've used the hammer and socket method before and it worked fine with minimal aggravation.

mines not rated for over 90psi but i just tweak up the reg a bit to give it the extra umph for special occasions like locknuts and rusty control arm bolts. ;D

if all else fails, you could always weld another lug nut to it, then use the lug wrench/impact gun!
