Well, my Jeep seems to be pissed at me. I've started to spring oil leaks like crazy. 1). I need to change the distributor seal. I'm pretty sure I can do all the work, but I am very leary about removing the dist. ... from past experiences. If I mark the housing and the block where it is sitting, I should be able to put it right back into place, RIGHT? 2). Also, I need help figuring out how to set the correct pinion angle on the rear driveshaft. I've read a lot about doing it, but nothing is sinking into my brain. My vibes have been worse since I pulled the hardtop off, and now I'm spitting fluid out of the t-case seal, which was already replaced. I know the u-joints are good, and nothing is loose. The angle just looks funny. Anyone local to Bellingham or between Bellingham and Framingham that wouldn't mind just crawling under it for a minute to help me figure it out? Thanks a lot, guys.

My 1/2 a** answers...
Locate TDC on the motor, mark the location of the distributor on both the body and block, and I think your is a 7/16 nut, take that and the retainer clip out, putt the distributer straight out! goes back in the reverse order.
as for your Vibes, Do you have axle shims uner that rig? If not, 8 degree shims are like $20 through 4wd hardware.
If you do have shims, and a T-case drop, one simple yet slightly expensive solution. SYE, once you do it, you will love it! all vibes will disappear much like my pay check when the wife goes cloths shopping! Other than that, you pinion angle will not stop fluid fr seaping from the seal! The Slip Yoke on the YJ's were no thte best design, they used roller barrel bearings on the mainshaft wich will allow for the ATF to simply pour our if the seal is bad, or the Slip Yoke is removed all together!
When the made the NP231 for the tj's, that changed the design and used racers. won't allow for the ATF to pass through.
Two people with taking the T-case out, could have the SYE installed in about 2 hours (4 if we're getting paid in Beer)
