well as some of you know my steering snapped over the weekend, well the adjuster sleeve. and thanks to everyone that helped me out. anyway i am looking into getting a new HD setup. looking at the Currie, bigdaddy offroad, rock krawler, and poison spider customs, and cant seem to find Rubicon Express's steering, i dont think they sell it anymore. the only thing i dont really like about the BDO and poison spider is they dont come with a draglink, however the PSC has a weld on gusset bracket that goes over the draglink bolt and comes with a new adjuster sleeve for the draglink.
anyone have any experience and/or opinions about these or anyother ones.

rock krawler, look killer i have seen the currie, basically it is a stock set-up. but it is HUGH and TOUGH looking
honestly have you looked at the rustys' stuff. i ran it on the xj, and now rockdale has it? just a thought

I say Buy some DOM, thread some heim joints into the ends, drill out your knuckles, bolt it up for a super HD set up! Possibilities are endless

Possibilities are endless I'm building that exact setup on the 21st when I get to NY, i'm using 1.5"x.250 DOM Bluetorch fab weld in nutserts, 3/4 heims with 8 misalignment washers. Hopefully over the knuckle if it all fits. I'll lelt ya know how it turns out. I should have it running at todds for the meeting. Price wise though, rockkrawler is only an extra 80-100$ over building it.

with the amount of time and effort you have to put into building your own custom steering it would seem to me that buying a known good performer is worth the money.
and bluerocket; i have been hearing about this "custom" steering you are going to build since d-rock? hmmmmmm, that was a long time ago. get to gettin'

yeah i just assume buy a kit that will take the abuse, and not have to worry about if i welded it right and all that crap since its my daily driver for a while.
if i do get the Poison spider kit, do you think it will still be alright with the stock drag link? even though the adjuster is upgraded and a gusset is welded on? i really like there setup and their products so i might go with this if i can find a good price soon.

Why spend $239 or what ever it was and not even get a new DL??? when you can spend an extra $60 and get a really strong one....not to mention the fact the RK tie rod is 1.25 solid stock...my $.02

doug, FYI, you said you'd just assume buy a kit, so i'm assuming you're also looking for new, but there is a poison spyder one on nagca that just went up for sale last night. looks like its in good shape, might be worth considering.

with the couple guys running rod ends on their steering as opposed to tie rod ends, I want to see how they hold up over time. See if they last.
