Ok, I made a similar post a while back...I'm too lazy to find it, so I'll start a new one with the latest details..
Sometimes my jeep doesn't start. I turn the key, but can't hear the fuel pump presurize the system. If I leave the key on for a minute or two, the fuel pump relay will click rapidly then come on. Like its getting a weak signal, or maybe the fuel pressure switch isn't working right? I have changed the fuel pump relay and it didn't change. ONce it does click on, and sometimes it does it right away, the jeep starts up and purrs like a kitten (ok, well, it purs as good as you can expect a 11 year old rusted and beat up 100k mile jeep!)
Any ideas? I have an apointment friday to have it plugged into the computer, but the check engine light isn't on, so I don't know if that will tell me anything.

Yep....I'm devoting today to checking/cleaning ground straps. Gee, I should take more vacation time, I love working in my cold damp garage when not at work!

well, you might want to check the ballast resistor that should be on the fenderwall somewhere. Mine was all green and corroded, and would start and die, but check it out
