Ok, so my next veture is OBA and I've been looking at the kilby set-up but I'm a little confused.
Basically I want to use the AC spot on the serpentine belt to have it be a belt driven kit instead of a battery driven. How exactly do I do this? I keep reading that people are getting the clutch/pumps from junk yards, but how do you know which ones to get? Will any of them work. I know John has OBA (used it when I popped the bead) but I don't know how is system works.
Anyway, all help is appreciated. And all JeepGod sarcasm/humor is expected.
PS, I know how to do everything else, but I just don't get the generating the air part. From there is just into a tank with some release savety valves and then onto outputs.

1 year before you buy toochacon! so i will answer this questions in 2007
and if i were you i would buy a co2 tank, no effort. buy it fill it and you are done. thats what i use.

From my research, you can find the York in a JY like John did. The clutch needed for the TJ is a 6/8 rib serpentine type which is not easily found in a JY. I haven't read anywhere of an OEM version that can be used.
Edit: The other piece you pretty much have to buy from Kilby is the bracket for the York. Maybe someone with fab skills could make one though.

Co2 tanks are great but will cost more in the end, I put my OBA together for less than $100, but I had connections at a local plumbing supply shop so I didn't have to pay for any fittings, guages, tape etc... I got the York out of a Junk Yard for I think $10 If memor serves me, I had a buddy rebuild it for a 30 pack in his garage (his hobby is rebuilding small motors like in Lawn mowers) and my tank is a 5 gallon unit I got out of a cab foward Mitsubishi cube van, it is the storage tank for the airbrakes, that cost me about $20, then I blasted and painted so in retrospect, I could have just bought the kilby tank for $30 shipped. The mounting bracket I made out of some scrap 1/4 steel, and I had to add another Idler pully ($15 from NAPA) and a new belt $8 (which is a Biotch to measure for)
All in All I love it, second best mod I have, but I am redoing it, going to use stainless instant tube fittings, aluminum air manifold and hi pressure tube from McMaster Carr along with a home fabbed re-oiler.
And to answer you question, how does it work.....

OH ya, my York is out of a early 80's volvo D240 diesel. The clutch was junk, I snagged the one out of a lincol with a 3.8L I think, can't quite recall.
