Ok, so on my way home from the BBQ today I had two new ailments and I have no idea what they are:
1) When I'm driving along at a constant speed the jeep vibrates. Also, the faster I go, the stronger the vibrations become. Now this isn't a drive line vibration because it's not in the steering wheel or the steering anything, it's coming from under the engine/t-case. I can only feel it in the seat and along the floor. It actually kind of feels like the seat has a pulsating masager built into it on a 3 second cycle. 2 seconds of vibrations through the floor and then 1 second of nothing.
This actually stops when I do one of the two following things: a) step on the clutch and disengage it so I'm just coasting or b) take my foot off the gas completely and just coast while letting the engine slow me down.
Ailment 2)
When I'm driving along and I step on the clutch (I can only notice this at a slow speed becaues of the wind factor) there is a grinding noice to disengage it. It doesn't matter what gear I'm in, but it sounds like the plates aren't connecting correctly and when I step on the clutch they are skipping for some reason and grinding.
Now this isn't like I'm slowly stepping on the clutch and having it half way down, this happens when I'm changing gears or what ever, as long as I'm moving.
So, those are my two ailments and I have no idea whats wrong. It almost sounds like something is wrong with the clutch to gear transfer/connection. But can they be adjusted? Do I need a mechanic? Or am I just crazy/paranoid?
