like justin said, it could be a whole slew of things, my jeep wobbles and vibrates sometimes and doesnt others, makes weird noises half the time, if you spend you life chasing down every little noise in a jeep you will go crazy. i just let them do there thing till they become a bigger issue, at least that is the only way i have found to stay sane while daily driving my trail rig

maybe the trans crossmember/skid is bashed up, making the driveline angle greater. Well thats what mine was. Bob

I believe the 2 prob's are related. Sounds like an alignment issue. Specifically when you hit your pan on rock you adjusted something. Not sure of your year but if you look you'll see skid pan also has mounts for tranny/diff. Hopefully you broke a bolt allowing some play & easily fixed.

How about tranny mount? right under the t-case skid. Might cause chattering/skipping when taking off, and rough vibes elsewhere,. Check it out, its a 20 minute 10$ fix. didnt try this yet??? If your t case skid is bent up at all it could cause symptoms like youre having. have you done anything about this?

In general i just dont like people, so I have one seat, this way I dont have to give anyone a ride.
And I also don't make threads asking how to install a seat when I have no desire to install the seat at the current point in time.

Well to defend myself, I was asking last weekend on Saturday with the hopes that I would have an idea as to what to look for on Sunday. Since I was still in the dark I didn't get under it and try to look at things which I wouldn't know if they were right or not.
So, now that I have a good starting place, I can start looking at it, but I had a wedding and my friend moved last weekend and I don't get home from work until 6:30 during the week (no garage) so I don't have a chance until this weekend.
So, to reiterate....I'm going to look at it this Saturday....morning and I'll let you know how the t-case mounts look at skid plate are.

Ok, so it's not the T-case mount or the T-case skid plate pushing up on the unit.
I checked the whole thing, bent the skid back and I'm still having the same problem.
Now, there is also another piece to the puzzle that I've never noticed before. Tonight, when I got out of the Jeep, the entire bed, behind hte rear seat, was hot to the touch?? Any new clues/advice?
Also, it happens around 55-60 MPH and up and doesn't happen in neutral or when I'm coasting in gear.
