Hey all,
Yep, me again, with another issue.
So, coming home from my parents last night on 495 i noticed something strange. Shen i had the gas pressed down (not jamming on it) just an easy press to keep the truck going at like 70mph up a gradual incline in the highway, i noticed that every once in a while the truck would kind of ... hiccup and then keep going. feels like a misfire, or a transmission skip.
anybody ever had this issue before? I got it a lot on the way home at around 70 when the rpm was at 2k. This morning i got it going up a hill on the way to work going about 50 with the rpm at 1.5k
anyone know what's going on?

I had wha I think was a similar issue, my problem was a bad cat that would occasionally block.

ummm i would not reccomend hitting cats with a hammer...does not lead to good things
i would keep an eye on it iand see if you can pinpoint some more symptoms...jeeps are not very nice friends

you should be able to hear stuff rattling in there if the cat is all messed up, at least i could the last two times ive destroyed them and had most of the guts end up in my muffler

it could be anything! bring it to a shop and save your money replacing everything that it isnt
otherwise you can check your tune up parts. check your plugs for fouling. check the resistance of your plug wires. check condition of your cap/rotor. CLEAN your throttle body and IAC motor.
if its still doing it after that. bring it to a shop. you can get into this so deep.......
and does the cat rattle?
