yeah i saw the thing on horsepower tv its suppose to act as a skid plate also its make out of 3/16 inch steel its the same as a super 40 and as for stock is best i already changed the muffler to a gibson and in a recent off road adventure i found that the gibson is the lowest part of my jeep

I would rather invest the $$ in a less expensive muffler and let it get the piss beat out of it, then put on that particular flowmaster muffler. It is constructed of 3/16 plate which is pretty tough stuff, problem lies in that if you hit it on a rock, instead of just the muffler absorbing the grunt of the force, that force is now exerted on the entire exhaust system, cracking manifolds, breaking collectors etc.. I have a non-welded borla muffle (biggest POS) and it has taken more than it's share of hits and it has not effected anyother part of the exhaust.
Invest the extra $$ in to something better.

do a super 40 with a high flow cat and headers, it sounds badass, like a 4.7L

a regular flowmaster is well built and with will withstand a lot of bashing, there was an ad for them a while back and the picture was a flowmaster crushed from being under a truck. the welds hold good, the flow maintains, the things are tough. the dp one is only a gimmick, maybe for show vehicles, and gullible people.
mine has a couple dents in it, and no difference than when it was new.
