today i was in wrentham, and saw a trailer on the way there. i took 495 to exit 15, and went north on route 1-A, just through the center you go over route 140, and right on the left was a trailer for $600. probably could talk the guy down to $400 or at least $500. i think it was a dual axle, and would guess it to have brakes, it did look a bit old, and the pressure treated wood on it would probably need replacing...anybody live near there, maybe get more info?? anyway i saw it and remembered that somebody here was looking for one. saw this last night, junk! |

Thanks guys, I actually need to buy a new truck right now. Got pulled over with my kid in the front seat of my truck (regular cab) the other day, didn't know it was illegal to have someone in the front seat of a vehicle if they are under 50 lbs... Should have the new truck in the next couple weeks, then back to the trailer search.

It's actually a great law because of air bags. The law is if you have air bags and can't turn them off you can't have someone under 50LBS in the front seat becuase the air bag would kill them instead of save them. So if you can turn your airbag off you are ok.

I don't have air bags.... so it should not apply to me, plus my truck is only a two seater.
regardless, new truck needed, gonna look at one tonight.

I looked at a 95 chevy 1500 ext cab 4x4, 87K last night, everything I wanted but had a 4.3 in it, so no go..
Found one in Woburn I am gonna check out tomorrow.

If the truck has no back seat (I know yours does not) and no air bags, you are O.K. to put the car seat in the front. Same applies for YJs/ CJs with no air bags as long as the back seat is removed or there never was a back seat in the vehicle to begin with, it is legal to install the car seat in the front, both rear facing and forward facing seats.
